KP(left)Heavy weather created agitated water tonight. Large waves were washing in and and then, as they withdrew, drawing sinuous trails in the sand. In this image I decided to emphasize the sculptural shapes, rather than the colour, by processing it as a monochrome.
LM(right)A stiff wind forced Lake Erie's waters over the sandbar at the raised shoreline. As waves washed up onto the high beach, the backwash sculpted small rivulets in the sand. Successive waves cleared the way for a variety of flow patterns, while the late day sky and clouds coloured the moist sand.
