LM(left) Our 9th floor room on the Bowery in Manhattan faced a streetscape that had much visual interest in terms of texture, manhole covers and cryptic markings from ongoing construction. On many early mornings last week, as the sun rose and cast long shadows, I enjoyed photographing the bustling street scene from the air conditioned comfort of the hotel room.
KP(right) Late one afternoon a summer rainstorm sent people scuttling for cover. I was happy to keep my feet dry and enjoy the heavy weather from the window of our hotel room.
