KP(left photo) This evening there were regular small waves, just larger than ripples, arriving from the southwest. The patterns they made, combined with the reflections created by their retreat from the shore, were endlessly changing. I stayed rooted in one location, watching the colours evolve from pastels to deep rich hues as the sun set.

LM(right photo) An approaching high pressure system cleared the air late in the afternoon a few days ago. Changing weather systems offer dramatic skies on Long Point Beach. Some ice still lingers on Lake Erie, but the timeless cycle of flowing water and shifting sand heralds the return of spring.
