RED KILN WITH SUMAC - NORFOLK COUNTY

When the weatherman called for a heavy snowfall, I jumped into the car and headed for this kiln yard. Since the shoulder was deep with snow, I risked leaving the running car on the road and ran out to quickly make a few exposures. The formality of the kiln juxtaposed with the loose structure of the sumac caught my eye, while the densely falling snow softened the colours and added a pointillistic delicacy to the scene.
