COTTONWOOD IMPRESSION - LONG POINT BEACH

My decision to over-expose the wind-blown cottonwood leaves and exclude the trunk from my composition freed me to create an image that celebrated lightness. An expansive use of negative space reinforced the mood, as did the idea to allow the leaves to burst through the confines of the frame in post production.
