TREES WEEK #13

photograph by larry monczka
A late winter snowstorm with thick wet blowing snow is a gift for photography. Really! Here, snow softens the background row of pines enough to allow just a hint of their form to emerge. The cluttered ground is likewise diffused and made painterly by the newly fallen carpet of white. What would otherwise be a somewhat static composition receives an injection of energy from the diagonal motion of wind-driven snow.
