TREES WEEK #50 - 52 WEEKS - AN ENCOUNTER WITH TREES

The recent cold spell has flash frozen a large pond in Backus Woods. The thin clear layer of ice is transparent enough to allow the recently fallen leaves to show through. The surface ice reflects the trunks of the surrounding woods, amidst a blue wash from a subdued winter sky.
