A lone willow stands on the north shore of Lake Erie as it has for decades. It is totally exposed to the elements with no protection from November storms, blazing summer sun or sub zero winters. . Snaggle-toothed with age, it is an aesthetic mess, in a world where youth and beauty reign. Yet as winter ends, new growth has emerged to welcome the still cold, but longer spring days.
