H/S WEEK #8
LM (left photograph) While shadow chasing on a sunny blue sky day after a big snow storm, I came across this scene. The shadow pattern was more visually interesting than the fence, but a certain amount of fence was necessary to put the shadows in context. I reduced the hard scape as much as I could and trusted the viewer to infer the rest.
KP (right photograph) These weathered grasses have somehow been able to carry on with rhythmic grace despite the battering of winter. The softly modulated blue of shadows on snow provides a pleasing background for their dance.
