KP (upper) The landscape along the Erie shore takes on a strangeness when the temperatures drop. The stark ice ridges seem to be from another world, barren and wild. Silence is absolute, broken only by the occasional sharp crack of the ice shifting.
LM (lower) Lingering on the beach at the tail end of a rare sunny day, I was excited to see and photograph some dramatic light on the horizon post sunset. The warm colour of the sky juxtaposed with pale ice ridges made for a serene combination. I merged four images in post production into a panorama to suggest the empty stark landscape.
