KP (left photograph) Sunshine and ameliorating temperatures made Central Park a busy place on this weekend day. Late afternoon shadows accompanied the skaters on their circuits around Wollman Rink.
LM (right photograph) On a mild day after a cold and snowy week, folks migrate to Central Park, known affectionately as New York's "backyard". I photographed this gentleman soaking up a few January rays as the snow melted around his temporary perch.
