H/S WEEK #2

LM (left photograph) Schlepping down to the water's edge through knee deep snow was a struggle worth making. Being closer to the shore presented an un-obstructed viewpoint that allowed me to compose an uncluttered image with just three elements--sky, water and snow.
KP (right photograph) Last session's snow streamers turned into solid, deep drifts on the beach at Long Point. My aim was to contrast the stretch of pristine snow with the ominous sky, accentuated by the cold winter sun. Using the longer view also meant that having to laboriously wade through the snow was kept to a minimum.
