LM(upper) I was immediately drawn to the dramatically backlit vegetation at the edge of the vernal pond. The strong directional light separated the fresh green foliage from the shadowed background of cedars and made the water come alive with specular highlights. The " wow factor" was thrilling.
KP(lower) The delicate tracery created by the partially submerged shrubs and their reflections existed for only a brief time . Soon after the heavy spring rains abated the pond began its retreat, taking the reflections with it.
