KP (left) The sedges growing at the edge of a wetland caught my attention. I limited the photograph to the sedges and their reflections on the still water creating a sketch of their elegant simplicity.
LM (right) We had stopped to photograph a wetland, when I became distracted by the cedar woods along the edge of the marsh. I composed this image to include both the boulder and trunk, two elements that suggested time worn age. The halo of fresh green became a counterpoint and tied the past to the present.
