H/S WEEK #12 - PHOTO STORAGE
LM (left photograph) The natural forces that act on snow, sand and rock are remarkably similar. Here, the moderating temperatures of late winter are gradually undermining the line of ice ridges along the Lake Erie shore. Expansion and contraction along fault lines will eventually reduce these towering barricades to sand and water.

KP (right photograph) This stone has borne the toils of winter. Just revealed by the melting ice, its parts, for a brief time, are still suggestive of the whole.
