H/S WEEK 26

KP (left photograph) The small creek that runs from the fen to the lake at Singing Sands in Bruce Peninsula National Park was in full spate due to days of copious rainfall. I photographed while looking down from the bridge over the creek. A polarizer cut the reflected glare and created a bright abstract image of submerged grasses waving sinuously in the rapid flow.
LM (right photograph)When we travel, I become very sensitized visually. In this case, while photographing wildflowers nearby, I noticed a makeshift fire pit and grill on the beach with tattered remains of tinfoil scattered over the sand. The combination of randomly distributed light toned foil and darker coals with strips of the metal grate seemed perfect for an abstract monochrome treatment.
