H/S WEEK #25

LM (left photograph) Water isn't supposed to be yellow-green, nor shadows turquoise blue. But as I worked this section of Georgian Bay at Little Cove, I noticed that, from a very specific vantage point, the sunlight that fell on the trees above the cliff cast green reflections onto the water's edge as well as onto a small pool of water trapped on the rock. In addition, the area where the water lapped against the rock and made a thin wet film reflected the colour of the deep blue sky. The subtleties of light on water are endlessly fascinating.
