GARDEN'S END - NORFOLK COUNTY

photograph by kathleen pickard
I had taken up the challenge of a week of daily B&W images and by this particular afternoon I was feeling some pressure to produce one. I was also rapidly losing the light. When I spied this collection of sad leaves I resorted to something I never use - fill flash. Desperate times require desperate measures.
I was delighted with the B&W conversion. It had the appearance of an etching. I was even more delighted with the colour version, with its tapestry like palette. The project had worked. I had been pushed out of my comfort zone and I even liked it.
