An uncommon fog on Long Point beach desaturated colours, reducing extremes of both hue and tone. As usual, one benefit of misty weather is to reduce background clutter and distractions. In addition, because foggy backgrounds recede into nothingness, near/ far compositions draw the eye into the picture space with gentle persuasion.
