H/S WEEK #32
LM (left photograph) I composed this image to eliminate any sense of scale. It really isn't "about" anything in the sense that there is no "subject". Just light on sand and light on water. That's more than enough to keep me making photographs for a lifetime.
KP (right photograph) Tonight, the complex flow of the backwash assumed the appearance of molten metal as a bit of sun broke through the rain clouds. The technical challenge was to capture that intricacy while dealing with a very high dynamic range that threatened to blow out the highlights.
