LM (upper photograph)The Innu culture has numerous words describing various types of snow. The same must be true of ice. We have photographed ice close-ups over a number of days as winter shifts towards spring. The texture and pattern of lines, planes and bubbles vary enormously.
KP (lower photograph) The larger landscape of the beach is looking shopworn at this point in the season; but, with close looking, there are bits of beautiful tracery to be found at the edges of the deteriorating ice.
